Privacy Policy

Who looks after your data

When you play with the 888 brand, the controller of your personal data is 888 UK Limited, which the Gambling Commission licenses. This notice works together with our general terms, and we update it whenever our processes change.

What we collect

To open and run your account we need your registration details. We also keep records linked to safer gambling, such as deposit limits, self-exclusion and product blocks, and the information we need for anti-money laundering checks. Some data reaches us from other organisations, for example identity checks, credit reference agencies (a check that does not affect your credit score) and affordability services. We also collect technical data such as your IP address. Please tell us when your details change so that our records stay accurate.

How we use it

We use your data to run your account, take deposits and let you play. We use it to meet our legal duties, including identity and age checks, fraud prevention, affordability checks and spotting signs of gambling harm. We share safer gambling outcomes, such as self-exclusion and time-outs, with companies in our group. We may record phone calls for support, training and security.

GamProtect

We are one of the operators in GamProtect, a UK pilot that lets gambling companies see a single picture of a customer across operators, so that people showing high-risk gambling behaviour can be protected.

Marketing

We only send marketing messages if you agree. You can change your preferences in the Preferences tab of your account menu or use the unsubscribe link in any message. An opt-out can take up to 28 days, and it applies only to the brand you opt out of.

Sending data abroad

We work with organisations inside and outside the UK and the European Economic Area. If your data is sent to a country that the UK or EU has not judged to protect it adequately, we rely on standard contractual clauses or another approved safeguard.

Your rights

You can ask what data we hold about you and for a copy of it. You can ask us to correct it, erase it, restrict or object to its use, or move it to another organisation. Where we rely on your consent, such as for marketing, you can withdraw it at any time.
